Reporting to the Head of Project Management & Asset Management, the Project Lead will be part of a team developing energy solutions for large business and institutional customers including electric vehicle charging, battery storage, solar PV and power generation. Your work will help unlock the full potential of electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, driving the transition to a clean energy economy.

Responsibilities

  • Project management activities from conception through to operations including front-end planning and project controls in accordance with Project Management governance.
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Ensure compliance with commercial and project management framework
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Follow project controls processes to manage changes in scope, schedule and costs
  • Track and report on project performance, status, schedules, and budgets
  • Support project conception and assist in investigation of growth opportunities that maximizes value for clients
  • Assist the Project Development team in the maintenance of project requirements, supporting delivery of performant highly complex projects
  • Maintain relationships and communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain close liaison with field construction contractors and customer site representatives to ensure successful project execution during construction, commissioning, and project close-out.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks and suggest strategies to proactively overcome challenges
  • Visit various site locations, manufacturers, and suppliers as required

Qualifications

  • University Degree in Engineering or related field
  • PMP is an asset
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering and/or project management
  • Experience leading and overseeing construction site operations, system commissioning activities, and compliance with related health and safety and environmental regulations
  • Technical knowledge of EV charging, battery storage and other electrical equipment
  • Experience managing electrical projects involving, solar, batteries, generation, distribution or EV’s an asset

Responsibilities

  • Develop project concept designs that maximize value for clients and support PowerON’s commercial objectives.
  • Collaborate with Business Development to identify and understand client needs.
  • Propose early-stage project concept designs, including preliminary costing.
  • Lead the development of projects to a construction-ready state.
  • Develop and maintain project requirements, ensuring delivery of performant highly complex projects.
  • Manage third-party contractors to ensure alignment throughout early development.
  • Lead technical design and perform technical review of project design, analysis, and reporting.
  • Identify risks and suggest strategies to proactively overcome challenges.
  • Be the subject matter expert on new technologies and evolving policies in the electrification and EV charging space.
  • Assist in investigating growth opportunities by conducting technical, financial, and commercial analyses of potential opportunities.
  • Optimize internal processes to improve efficiency.

Qualification

  • University Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project development, project management, commercial operations, or strategic development.
  • Self-initiated and intellectually curious, with a strong interest in electrification.
  • Strong technical knowledge of EV charging, battery storage, and ancillary electrical equipment.
  • Enjoys interacting and collaborating with clients, vendors, and diverse teams.
  • Strong business acumen to develop profitable projects, conceptualize new business opportunities, and contribute to PowerON’s business strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute best purchasing practices
  • Coordinate end-to-end supply chain activities, including planning and implementation, acting as primary point of contact in collaboration with supply chain stakeholders
  • Lead all activities involved in executing the procurement of parts, materials, supply and services
  • Ensure we are accessing the most cost-effective and competitive pricing in line with our business strategies
  • Monitor and address vendor performance in collaboration with project managers and procurement stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and optimal business performance
  • Conduct analysis of business needs as they relate to purchasing processes and collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to implement process improvements
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to prepare purchase requisitions and coordinate administer contracts, invoices and related documentation
  • Negotiate contracts, agreements, and terms with new suppliers and existing suppliers
  • Resolve contract disputes
  • Establish delivery schedules, monitor progress and identify risks
  • Maintain comprehensive descriptions of available products, services and current prices
  • Ensure invoice payment by monitoring the process from initiation of a purchase order through the receipt of the goods or services and billing from the vendor or supplier
  • Collaborate with PowerON’s legal team and prepare documents for legal to expedite the execution of subcontract documents
  • Develop scope of work by collaborating with Project Management, Product Management, and Business Development teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University Degree in Supply Chain/Purchasing or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management
  • Experience with inventory software
  • Experience in drafting contracts

Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the SalesLead will be a key team member lead in the management of customer outreach, communications, contracting and relationships in the commercial fleet market.

This role has the responsibility to manage the full sales lifecycle of opportunities from initial contact to developing solutions, commercial structuring, contracting and execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop new business opportunities and commercial structures with clients in the commercial fleet space looking to electrify
  • Manage sales, and progress potential sales, including responding to request for proposals and development of unsolicited proposals and models.
  • Generate marketing strategies to increase & promote sales.
  • Make recommendations on growth opportunities for the business by conducting technical, financial and commercial analyses of potential opportunities.
  • Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
  • Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner
  • Identify and develop partnerships for the business and prepare business cases.
  • Oversee the preparation of early contract documents such as Memorandums of Understanding, Letters of Intent, Term Sheets etc.
  • Seek out and build new channel partnerships establishing productive, professional relationships with key personnel
  • Proactively lead channel partner planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship.
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and channels that will lead to increased sales
  • Stay abreast of new technologies in the electrification space and provide external thought leadership by attending and participating in conferences and forums.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Finance or Marketing. MBA is an asset.
  • 5+ years of experience in business-to-business sales and marketing, business development, contracting
  • Demonstrated experience in business development lead role implementing sales cycle involving multiple customers.
  • Understanding of the utilities, fleet management and electrification industry is an asset
  • Experience establishing and growing Manufacturing/OEM channel partnerships
  • Experience using sales solution-based platforms and general software application

Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the Executive Assistant, Sales & Marketing will assist the Business Development team in the coordination of sales activities, preparation of documentation and assistance with marketing related work. This work will be a critical factor for the smooth operation of the Business Development department and the attainment of its goals, as well as for the long-term growth of the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities
  • Manage PowerON’s website and associated activities
  • Assist with analyzing customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies
  • Employ marketing analytics techniques to gather important data (social media, web analytics, rankings etc.)
  • Update spreadsheets and databases with statistical, financial and non-financial information
  • Assist in the organizing of special events
  • Assist in preparing sales & marketing presentations
  • Assist with composing and posting online content on the company’s website and social media accounts
  • Assist with marketing literature (brochures, press releases etc) to augment the company’s presence in the market
  • Use various software, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College diploma or equivalent in administration or marketing
  • 3+ years of experience in an administrative role
  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills with excellent attention to detail

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the development of PowerON’s marketing strategy
  • Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish working collaboratively with the Business Development team on a content calendar that is relevant, consistent and offers valuable content for our target audience (commercial and transit fleet operators)
  • Establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments
  • Analyze customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies
  • Manage the marketing department budget
  • Oversee and maintain the PowerON website, applying changes, and adding and removing content in alignment with marketing strategy
  • Produce engaging copy for website, social media (LinkedIn) and other communication materials
  • Generate reports and presentations on the success of marketing campaigns
  • Simplify technical concepts for an audience that is unfamiliar with EV technology
  • Lead various special projects

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College diploma or University degree in communications, advertising, marketing, public relations or journalism
  • 3+ years of experience in communications or marketing
  • Experience with WordPress website content management system (Beaver Builder experience Is an asset)
  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while effectively adapting to changing priorities.
  • Highly effective team player able to work collaboratively with leads from other business functions (Marketing, Operations, etc.).

  • Lead the design efforts on large scale projects
  • Successfully deliver designs on budget, on schedule, and in compliance with program standards
  • Support sales team in pre-sales technical concept and budgeting activities
  • Interpret client requirements, identify and address design parameters and engineering problems and ensure solutions are implemented accurately and within budget
  • Lead, review and manage third party design consultants through schematics, design development and installation
  • Develop and maintain contracts
  • Present the design to stakeholders during early project phases within cost parameters.
  • Visits project sites to monitor progress and conformance to company established standards
  • Communicate and collaborate internally with technical teams, project managers, schedulers, and purchasers
  • Be involved in planning, developing and coordinating project-related activities
  • Prepare, review, and process drawings, and maintain as-built drawings

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years relevant experience
  • Self-initiated and intellectually curious, with a powerful interest in electrification and innovation.
  • Experience with development and operation of one or more of the following: EV charging, behind-the- meter assets, distributed energy resources, or energy management systems.
  • University Degree in Engineering or related field. A focus on Systems or Computer preferred.
  • Experience with SCADA or PLC/RTU platforms an asset.

  • 5+ years relevant experience.
  • Self-initiated and intellectually curious, with a strong interest in electrification.
  • Experimental mindset to drive innovation amongst uncertainty and exploit market opportunities.
  • High level business acumen to set clear priorities for product and understand business value impacts.
  • Knowledge of EV charging, battery storage, or energy management systems strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to grind and ability to develop tools to reduce the need.
